When we lost all our money back in 2000, from 2007 to 2014, I had a friend from 2013, from 2013 to, through 2015, who loaned me $4,000 a month.

Belege

Thema

Finanzielle Krise und gegenseitige Hilfe unter Geschäftsfreunden

Sichtbar
  • eine Person im Studio-Setup
  • farbiger Anzug (Bordeaux) vor grauem Hintergrund
  • Einwort-Karaoke-Untertitel mit gelben Farbakzenten
  • Mikrofon-Headset sichtbar
  • Regiestuhl im Hintergrund
  • durchgehend gleicher Bildausschnitt ohne B-Roll

Dig your wells before you're thirsty. When I was struggling financially, a friend helped support me because I had previously helped him build a successful business. The lesson: Build relationships and create value before you need help. The seeds you plant today may become the provision you need tomorrow. Don't wait until you're thirsty to dig your well.

When we lost all our money back in 2000, from 2007 to 2014, I had a friend from 2013, from 2013 to, through 2015, who loaned me $4,000 a month, and people get mad at me about that. Well, you weren't really broke if you had a friend who would loan you two, $4,000 a month. Yes, I was really broke. But I don't always tell the story about how even though he already had an oil business, he started a marketing business that was costing the oil business all of its profits, and I showed him how to build a successful marketing business, and he built a business that was doing over a million dollars a month. And so he was doing a million dollars a month, and he said, "I'm not gonna let my friend who showed me how to build this business drown in a sea of financial woe when I have money." So it was the, it was the seed that I planted that produced the tree that I could live under while I was going through my season of difficulty. It's, it, it reminds me of the book that was written by Harvey Mackay back in the '80s, Dig Your Wells Before You're Thirsty. See, some people wait until they get thirsty to start digging wells, and by the time they get to water, they've already died of thirst.
