I remember the day my little sis came home from the hospital. I remember I was able to hold her by sitting in the corner of the couch, and someone would gently place her into my arms. I was four years old, and I remember looking at her and thinking I couldn't wait to see what she was going to be like. I wanted to know what her voice was going to sound like and what her personality would be like. Luckily for all of us, she turned out to be one of the most kind, loving, genuine, empathetic, unique, sunshiny, smiley, bubbly, hardworking, and beautiful people. I appreciate her in too many ways to be able to describe in this one speech. And at the age of nineteen, this sunshine girl fell for Nick. I love Nick for so many reasons, but I'll tell you a story that really solidifies my gratitude for him. Um, in the past two years, our family have lost two very wonderful, important, funny people, our grandfather and our brother. Bombard Scott was the alleged member of the lobster. It was just a few days after our brother passed away, and the family was gathered in the kitchen, and everyone was laughing. Not like this. Not at all. It was actually the kind of laughter where people are like laughing, you know, double over kind of laughter. And, um, it was actually-- it-- that was making everyone in the room laugh. And I thought that how wonderful that at such a dark time, that this man could make the whole room laugh. So, I couldn't be happier that two beautiful people have found each other. I've always admired them since a young age. They truly are best friends. A team. They work together but-- so they enjoy life as individuals and together, and I know they will always enjoy life together. I love you both so much.
