Thema

Vergütung von Vertriebsmitarbeitern nach Skill-Level

Sichtbar
  • eine Person am Whiteboard sprechend
  • Wasserflaschen und Getränkedosen im Vordergrund
  • rotes Text-Overlay mit Frage oben links
  • einwort/kurzsatz Untertitel eingeblendet
  • Whiteboard mit Skizzen und Zahlen im Hintergrund

Salespeople are paid so well because they’re willing to deal with rejection. They’re able to get socially punched in the face a hundred times a day and still come back for more with a smile.

My perspective on, on compensating salespeople is how much skill is required for the, the salesperson. Is it a super golfer that has to chip all the way down the field? So if I'm selling solar door to door, I'm selling roofs door to door, I need a very skilled salesperson. They gotta knock a door and then sell seventy thousand dollars within a matter of, you know, an hour. That's a very skilled salesperson, and they should get a bigger chunk. On the other hand, if someone is selling tickets over the phone to my warm audience, it's not a very hard-- It's a fifteen-minute phone call. It's the same exact phone call every single time. And I'm warming them up. They're watching VSLs, all this stuff before they get on the phone. Not super, not super hard. And so the question I ask is, how skilled a salesperson is needed for this? If it's low skill, low-skilled salespeople, it's usually, you know-- The bi-- the cheapest salespeople that exist are maybe eighty thousand a year. The low-- the bottom, you know, bottom cheapest. Um, and then obviously the top end, you look at like a solar sales guy that's gonna make four hundred, five hundred thousand a year, sometimes a million a year, uh, you know, not the doors and sometimes building their own teams.
