Belege

Get my FREE course on how to make $10K/mo with an AI Marketing Agency (used to be $3K) - https://start.imperiumacquisition.com/free-ai-course-o2?el=watchthisifyourlostinlifeatat20212223242526272829 - If it’s your first time here, I’m Charlie Morgan. I’m the founder of Imperium Acquisition. You can check us out here imperiumacquisition.com. It’s a services and advisory firm for agencies, coaches & consultants, which is a fancy way of saying we help agency owners, coaches & consultants scale and grow. Right now we make around $10M/year. With this being the internet, I could make any old story up, so I wanted to give you my bio-by-the-years-story, so you can verify I’m legit. Here’s my story: 17: Video game addict, hardcore loser, clueless teen! 18: Go to college (university) for 6 months, drop out, start a biz. 19: Start an apprenticeship, work on business during the apprenticeship. First $10k month. 20: Finish apprenticeship, go all in on “NorthFlow Consulting” with a biz partner. 21: $100k months selling DFY. This is where I actually became a millionaire. Yay. 22: COVID-19 hits. Lose every single client. Literally back to ZERO. Nay. Dark times. 23: Start Imperium, teaching still-alive agencies cold outreach. Back to $100k months. 24: Scaling Imperium, first $500k month, YouTube channel in full swing. 25: Start working with coaches too, launch official info-product, scale to $700k/mo. 26: Move to Dubai, hit $900k/mo, stabilise & lean things out to be as profitable as possible. 27: Move back to the UK, still at $10M/year, starting to aggressively scale. Today: I’m at $10M/year, and have been for some time I’m a liquid multi-millionaire many times over and have made $40M between 18-27. I’m now in a season of aggressive scale and pushing for the $50M/year benchmark, while trying to retain 50% margins. It’s hard, and it sucks a lot, but I really enjoy it and derive a lot of meaning and fulfilment from this journey. The bigger the mountain, the more interesting the climb. That’s what I’m doing with this channel, just documenting what I’m learning on the way and giving you (what I hope to be) valuable insights that might help you climb your mountain (whether it’s smaller or bigger than mine). Keep moving forward! Do the work, Charlie DISCLOSURE Information shared here is for educational purposes only. I'm making this video to talk to the 17, 18, 19year-old version of myself. I was lost in life and didn't really know what I wanted out of life. I didn't really know who I wanted to become. When you are a young man between the ages of 18 and probably 25, you become an adult. And unfortunately, there's no textbook for becoming an adult or becoming a man, unlike there is in school where you can understand the rules of a discipline by studying them. You can read a book to understand what's what and get a grip on the rules. But figuring out what you want to do, which is really what you want to be and who you want to become, is very difficult. And a lot of people are faced with this decision in their late teenage or early 20s, their years. And it's such a difficult decision that they end up numbing themselves and pushing it down the road until next year. and next year before they know it they become 30 or 40 and they've forgotten to ask themselves the question and they now live a life that is somebody else's to the point where they're not sovereign they're not free and all of their decisions are made by somebody else for them i.e. your boss or a family member or something. And so it's a really important conversation to have with yourself. I understand what you're going through cuz I went through the same thing. Not even 50 years ago, 100 years ago as a young man, your life would have been mapped out for you. There was no internet. There was no social media. 100 years ago, you would have been what your father was. You would have carried on the family business. You would have worked on the farm. you would have been the carpenter or there would have been something in your town or village with with a specific job or a factory and that's what you would have done. And it was a very easy decision because there were so few options not even 100 or 50 years ago to the point where you just you just select you could you just got what you you could. It's kind of like with dating these days like with dating apps you have 101 options whereas if you grow up in a village 100 years ago you might have had two. And so there's this thing in psychology called the paradox of choice which was invented by a guy called Barry Schwarz. The idea is that the more options you have, the less likely you are to make a decision. Converging on a specific option is incredibly difficult when there are so many. And the reason that that is the case is because the philosophy is simple. Well, if I pick this, then there is a chance that I could have picked something else that could have made me happier or could have been better. If we trace our evolution back, men, we were designed to hunt. And our job was very simple. get up in the morning, go and hunt and do some primal [ __ ] come back and then sleep and repeat. And we we didn't have this, you know, this idea of a job or this idea of a of a life or a career. Our our biology sort of set the conditions for our psychology. And it was very simple. Now, you can't do that these days unless you actually are a hunter or a fisherman or something or a farmer. The chances are it probably wouldn't be socially acceptable or culturally appropriate for you to wake up every morning and go and hunt. I would advise against that. We're then faced with the question of young men. It's like what the hell are we supposed to do? And and this is the problem is is when you ask an adult or when you ask an authority figure in your life like your parents or your grandparents or somebody that you know, they say, "Well, you can do anything. The world is your oyster." And that's a fundamental flaw in in in the question and in the problem because the fact that you can do anything means that you do nothing because you're so paralyzed by all of these options. And so what I aim to do with this video and what my intention is today is to walk you through my story of going from a kid at 17, 18, 19 to an entrepreneur who's worth multi-millions, blah blah blah. And I want to kind of just explain my story and walk you through what I did to find myself and figure out who I wanted to become so that I could actually do something. And there's a very strong chance and likelihood that you resonate with this. you, as you stand right now in your late teenage or early 20s or whenever you're finding this video, you are basically this big bundle of chaotic potential. Your frustration, your anxiety, your loness, your misery is created and caused by the fact that you are aware that you could do something with your life, but you're not. And the only thing standing in the way between this potential becoming actually like some actual realized object is not knowing where to channel it. And it's a very anxious the anxiety that men get from this is is is biblical. Like you know when you've got all of this energy but you don't you don't put it anywhere. And so this is why if you're feeling anxious, if you're feeling low, if you're feeling like if all of these emotions are flying around in your head at the moment, you're probably not anxious. You're probably not depressed. you just don't have a trajectory to pin yourself against. And so this is the first lesson and the first thing to realize as a young man in terms of finding out what you should do with your life so you can find yourself and become who you want to become or who you should become. Inside of you exists something called the shadow. It's an unconscious idea from a psychologist called Yung Kung. When you feel emotions, especially negative emotions, and when they're present in your life, often what's happening is a deep unconscious part of you that you cannot consciously access is trying to communicate to your conscious mind and your body to say, "Hey buddy, I really want this. I can't give you the English language. I can't tell you what I want, but I'm going to create this emotion and this feeling to try and compel you towards to take some sort of action. Emotion is emotion. It's energy in motion. The reason we feel emotions as human beings is to encourage us to take some sort of action. And when you feel anxious, when you feel miserable, when you feel depressed, when you feel low, when you feel lost, when you feel confused, when you feel angry, neurotic, desperate, all these other weird emotions, they aren't quite what you think. A lot of them are coming because of what you're what you're consuming, both on a biological and content level. So if you're eating crap and you're not sleeping well and you're consuming nothing but slop content, then your brain has to digest, you know, your body and your brain has to digest all these inputs and it creates chaotic outputs. But a lot of your neurosis, these these these highly uncomfortable emotions are a part of you trying to communicate with you. And so the fact that you're watching this video and think about your behavior here. The fact that your entire attentive gaze you you've got [ __ ] 80 billion neurons in your brain. You could be doing and watching anything right now. But for some reason, some part of you is compelled to try and watch this video. And what that is is it's the unconscious. It's the shadow version of you. This this deep part of you that wants to be figured out. And this is a good thing. Um, and when we talk about the shadow, a lot of people associate the shadow with having a negative connotation because the term shadow tends to mean dark or evil or bad, right? The sentiment of the word is is is non-conusive. But the problem is that the the word shadow was um translated from yung and and I think he was Austrian, so it's some German term and it was translated to like shadow, but it it doesn't actually mean bad. It just means like all the parts of you that exist, some of which you could deem as bad and evil, some of which you could deem as good. And just quickly to hop in here, part of being lost in life as a young man is financial. There's a lot of pressure for men these days um to provide and you know have money and all these things and the expectation is rising and the bar is rising in terms of what's acceptable from a financial standpoint. As I'm sure you're all well aware, it might be a source of your shame. Um, if you are wanting to learn how to make money online and start a business, I have a completely free course that will show you exactly how to do that step by step over a six week time horizon, just click the first link in the description, fill out a quick form, and we'll call you and give you access right now. Um, it takes 2 seconds. It's free. You can do it right now. Um, if you don't want to, it's absolutely fine, but I figured I'd hop in and say that just whilst we're going through. Let's carry on with the video. When I was 17 years old, I became very curious about success. And you don't really have to look much further than what you consume to understand what you want. Because the whole thing about figuring out what you want to do with your life is about one thing, which is what you want. And there's a few forms of of what you want. It's like because then someone comes to you and they say, "Well, what do you want?" and you say, "Fuck, I don't know." But we don't have to look much further than the manifestations of your behavior. What you want really comes in two forms. Um it's it's coming in terms of like what you want to achieve. Okay? So in terms of your goals and it's who you need to become and so when when when someone when this is the the second lesson, trajectory is the first and we'll discuss that a little bit more because everything's about trajectory. Like if you're on a trajectory, i.e. a you have a direction or a path, the anxiety will dissipate. You'll still be tough and difficult, but you're not going to feel anxious and miserable cuz like men, we are like trajectory animals. I don't know how women work. Lord knows, God help me if I can figure that out. Every time I try, I seem to get further away. What you want extends no further beyond who you want to be and what you want to achieve. And if you're trying to figure out what you want, well, you don't really have to look much further than what you consume. Now, I'm not talking about the food, but I'm talking about the content. So, step one to this whole debacle of untangling the chaos of your life and figuring out what the hell to do with it is to actually look at what you watch. Take a second, like look at your Instagram reels, look at your YouTube shorts, look at your Tik Tok, look at your Twitter feed, look at your YouTube recommendations, look at your email newsletter, look at the podcasts that you listen to, look at the books that you've read cover to cover. or maybe you haven't read any, I don't know, but just take a second to become aware because all of the things that you consume on these platforms, their algorithms that you've been quietly, unconsciously engineering. So, when you're on a short form content platform, whether you scroll through something or not is dependent on whether or not there's some latent interest or some latent desire. And and that these algorithms will show you what you want to see. And so the first thing that you have to do as a young man is look at what you want. And it doesn't really get much easier than just looking at these things. And so, you know, when you look at your Instagram res or your YouTube shorts, remove the [ __ ] comedy, dopamineergic stimulation crap, like, you know, the [ __ ] brain rot and the memes. You know what I'm talking about, right? All the [ __ ] [ __ ] that your friends send you. like remove all of the slop and you know get to the 25% of of content and and and have a look at it like is it material stuff? Is it Lamborghinis and is it is it you know people laughing? Is it pen houses? Is it nice views? Is it is it beautiful women? Is it yachts and boats and the laptop or is it the laptop lifestyle? Is it traveling? Is it freedom? Is it vlogs in Bali? You know, is it boxing content? Is it is it fitness content? And and this is this is where it gets really interesting is you can extrapolate two things from from this observation. First thing is what you want and and this should this should be super apparent to you because you might not have a goal right now which by the way is the main reason that you feel so [ __ ] chaotic. A man without a goal is like a dog without an owner. Like you're just stray. You just wander around [ __ ] run around the streets with nothing to do and no home. Goal is home. Make no mistake. Like the thing that makes you feel at home, at peace is your objective in life. There is nothing more calming and relaxing and nothing satiates the chaos of the nervous system quite like an objective. Why? Well, because men are hunters. We're designed to use a bow, an arrow, and a spear. And and you know, your energy, your body, your mind is the is the spear. You are the weapon. But if there's no target to throw the [ __ ] spear at, then what the hell are you going to do? Well, you're not going to throw it at all. And now you've got all this energy inside of you that just dissipates into [ __ ] slop. So, a goal is home. But look at what you watch. You know, the the first thing is figuring out what you want. And it's very difficult to set a goal or create a dream or a vision for your life unless it's filtered through what you want. Um, now I will give you the third piece of advice that I have today in trying to figure out what you want. In trying to figure out what your goal is, the easiest and most effective way to do that is to start by figuring out what you do not want. What I would encourage you to do is sit down with a pen and piece of paper or your notes app on your phone or whatever and just write a fulllength you know multi paragraph essay on what the worst possible life for you could be. Now obviously you know the worst possible life could be you know being a prisoner of war and subjected to you know torture and like you know what I'm I'm not talking about that. I'm just talking about what happens if your life goes unchecked and your behavior goes you know you're not accountable for your behavior and you're not responsible for your trajectory. Like if you just like imagine like going to an airport and you just get on a random plane like you're going to end up somewhere. So what which country or which continent would you least want to end up in? That's kind of the point of this um exercise here is defining what you don't want. And figuring out what you want and figuring out what you should become is as simple as inverting what you don't want. So when I was 18, and I'll tell you a little story. So I knew that what I didn't want there's my knee. What I didn't want um was to work a 9 to5. Um, I didn't want to have like a single residency, so like a single home in like a, you know, the suburb somewhere. Um, and I didn't want to have like, you know, my my the biggest thing that I didn't want was mediocrity. And it was funny because like I didn't really care what I had in life. For as long as I didn't have this, I would probably be happy. And so I didn't want to be average. I don't want to be mediocre. I didn't want to do manual labor. I knew that as well. I I built houses um for a couple of weeks when I was when I was younger and I hated it. Um I didn't want to have a boss and and so you know write down what you don't want because it's just as helpful to understand. You know there's a wonderful quote from um the late billionaire Charlie Mer and he says all I want to all I want to know in life is where I'm going to die so I never go there. And you can do the same thing spiritually and physically. It's like all I want to know in life is where I would spiritually die. So I never go there. And I know that I would spiritually die if I had that average mediocre life. Now that's not to say that it's a bad thing. That's not to say that I'm judging people who have that life. It's just my the conditions of my psychology were wired to be terrified of it and to to to reject it in every way. And so it's it's a it's a really important thing. And so once you know what you don't want, well now it's time to invert that and figure out what you do. And the beautiful thing and the funny thing about this is, and I know that people say this and to you it's it just doesn't add it doesn't help at all, but you really can do anything that you want. Like if you're in your late teenage years or your early 20s, like you can do anything. Like you might not be able to be like an Olympic athlete and you might not be able to be like an athlete of any description because you know if you started like playing professional soccer at 20 it's too late. Like if you haven't made it in in in professional sports by 20 you're never going to make it at all. And the reason behind that is because professional sports like it's and any career that hinges on your ability to compete and perform at the highest level at the youngest age possible is [clears throat] kind of off limits for you. But fortunately, the only careers that are going to be off limits for you are ones that are physical like that. careers of the mind like being a writer, being a director, being an entrepreneur, being an inventor, being a speaker, like an author, whatever the hell, right? You can you can you can you can be on top of your game at 70 years old and still run rings around people that are 25. But if you try to compete in a professional sports game of any endeavor at 75 and you're up against kids that were like 20, then you just the laws the laws of thermodynamics and you know body bodily law are just going to absolutely you know railroad you. And another thing to realize as well is that your finding yourself and and and figuring out what you want to do with your life should be a sovereign activity. A lot of people what they do is when when they're trying to figure out what they want to do with their life is they emulate and copy other people. And so they look at other men, typically other men who are typically 10 to 20 years older than them. Uh these role models if you like and what they do is they try to copy them and they try to emulate them. And there's nothing wrong with that because you know at the end of the day it's a lot it's better to do that than to do nothing. But what you need to do and realize is that every single man has his own set of psychological needs and conditions and whilst we might all share similar ones like you know entrepreneurs are very ambitious, goal-oriented, all or nothing, we've got similar values, you want your goal and you want your dream and you want your personal vision for yourself to be as specific to you and as sovereign to you as possible. Now sovereignty and freedom are two different things. To be free means that you have ultimate control, ultimate freedom. But sovereignty means you have the freedom to choose what you want. So sovereignty is knowing what you want. Freedom is having it. Two very different things. And most people are not sovereign in their wants. What they want in their life and what they think they want is a product of what they have consumed. And there is an element of truth to this because you wouldn't consume things if unconsciously you didn't desire them. However, there's a lot to be said for really sitting down and thinking about what you want. And what I want to do is invite you to do this. Take a weekend, eat nothing for the entire weekend so fast. Because one of the first objectives to achieving like you're trying to achieve clarity here, right? That's kind of what you want. You want clarity on what to do and what path to set. Um, but the funny thing is is that you don't want to have a boss because the easiest way to get a path is to go and get a career and then it's the problem solved because someone tells you what to do and now this now somebody else is responsible for your trajectory because you're in because you don't want to have that control and responsibility but you don't want that clarity of vision of life is is two is there's two steps to that because to think about like a big vision and and to have like a really like it it's it's kind of beautiful to like be able to sit down and Think about like a future state that you want to achieve, like a snapshot of reality that is just set in time that you will arrive at. There's this idea that like everything that you want like already exists if you just engineer the universe to get it. It's possible, right? I I did the same thing and I'll tell about that in a second. But clarity begins in the gut, which is why I'm telling you to fast because right now you exist in a state of fog, inflammation, brain fog. Uh you feel lethargic, you feel tired, you you have energy spikes, you have random waves of emotion, you have this sort of weird fuzziness like in your brain and your eyes and you're just all tired and you can't like like that all the time. You can't sleep, right? And it's very difficult, if not impossible, to create a clear picture and vision of your life when you're trying to do that. when it's like it's like trying to take a like imagining a future state that you want would be like trying to like having a camera like okay here's here's a metaphor trying to imagine what you want your life to look like and to create a proper strong vision for your life whilst having brain fog and [ __ ] gut health and just [ __ ] health in general would be like um going to the beach taking a camera with you to the beach and taking a picture of the beach but the but the lens is all foggy. You know, you got you got salt spray on there. You've got like steam on there. There's dirt and mud and you take a picture and you can see the beach kind of, but it's in between all of this [ __ ] and this mess. And that that's why you struggle so much, by the way, to create this goal or this picture is you're not clear. And it's impossible to take a clear picture when you're using a lens that is fundamentally foggy. And what you're trying to do right now is figure your life out before you figured out your body. you know, and the mind like the brain sits on top of the body. It's like, you know, it's up here and but it's not separated. There's this thing called this vagus nerve that runs from from your from your spine, from your brain all the way down to your gut. And there's, you know, your your body is a holistic, you know, system of chaos, right? It's like it's nonlinear, like everything affects everything else. And so if you really are committed to figuring out what you want, I'm going to suggest that you do a 48 hour fast or a 72-hour fast where you do nothing but just all you can do is drink water and eat salt and that's it. And you eat nothing. And what will happen is the first 24 hours will be incredibly difficult. You're going to headaches, migraines, withdrawals. But around the 48 hour mark, you will experience a calmness and a clarity. Probably for the first time in your life, you'll experience what it feels like to be truly clear. Now, not truly because, you know, I'm not saying that you can achieve ultimate clarity after 24 hours of eating nothing, but you'll find this deep sense of like like things are now clear. And this happens when you engineer and optimize your diet and your training plans and your sleep and your entire life in the long term to reduce your inflammation as much as possible. It's funny because it's like, how do I how do I know what I want to do in my life? Do a 72-hour fast. It doesn't seem to be a connection between those two things. But I can tell you as much as I want to tell you about trajectories and goals and visions and dreams and, you know, manifesting and all this [ __ ] But if you're trying to do it and you're fundamentally foggy, there it is like I can I can teach you to be the best photographer in the world, but if the camera lens you're using is all muddy and fogged up, you're never going to take a good picture. And so during this weekend, this this 48 hour, I would do a 72-hour fast. I've done like a 120 hour fast before. It's not that hard. You're not going to die. Just drink lots of water and take lots of electrolytes because the key to fasting is electrolyte consumption or anytime you get a headache or feel drowsy or tired, just electrolytes, water, water. Drink like 10 liters of water a day, loads of electrolytes, you'll be fine. Trust me, it's not anywhere near as difficult as you might think to figure out what you want to do with your life. If only you just really thought about it. And when I say doing a fast, remove everything. I'm talking complete dopamine fast. No [ __ ] porn, no short form content, no food of any description, no socializing, no smoking, no drinking, nothing. Just you, your brain, and a pen and paper with the single objective and goal of trying to figure out what you want to do with your life. Now, now that we've got that protocol engineered, and trust me, it works. The first thing that you're going to do, like I said, is write for as long as you possibly can on what you do not want. Okay? Like I said earlier, what you do not instead of trying to attack the big elephant of like what we want, let's just write down what we do not want. And really there's there's sort of three facets of your life. You can you can you can bucket your life into three or four categories depending upon what you believe in. wealth, health, relationships, and religion. Now, I'm not going to talk about the religion thing here because some of you will believe in God, some of you won't. And for me, my relationship with religion and your relationship with religion are going to be two very different things. And I'm in no position to lecture or educate anyone on the word of God or atheism or any level of theological um indication is is not my realm of expertise. So you can include the God thing if you want, entirely up to you. But the three universal ones that you need to focus on are wealth, health, and relationships. And so what I want you to do is get this pen and get this paper and get this super clear brain after 24 hours of fasting and drinking lots of water and doing nothing but thinking about this and just write. And and this is the thing is don't think because unconsciously you know what you want and the unconscious communicates itself through through speech and through through writing. And so we we start by tackling wealth. So how much money do you want to make? How much money do you want to have saved? How much money do you want to be making passively? How do you want to make your money? what sort of tr what sort of way do you want to go about making the money? Who do you want to make the money with? Why do you want to make the money? You know, and that the easiest horistic to use for all of these um points, health, wealth, and relationships is the who, what, where, when, why, how. So, who, what, where, when, why, how. And so, who is basically um who do you want to do this with, right? um what is what do you actually want to do like how much like it's a pretty straightforward question to answer like what do I want my wealth to look like and again this this is the thing is all of the these six critical questions of who what where when it's like each of these questions you should spend you know you're going to answer these six questions three times as 18 questions and each question should you should spend like a good hour or two on it because it's it's critical thinking and it's exhausting and very difficult but when you've got a player brain and a clean perspective. It's very easy to engineer. So, who, what, where, when, why, how of wealth, who, what, where. So, where do you want to make this money? Like, you know, do you want to make it online? Do you want to do it in person? Do you where do you want to live for your taxes? Like, when you when you think about wealth and where, like, contextualize the entire picture, right? Where where I'm losing my mind. who, what, where, when, why, how. So when, like h when do you want to make this money by um why why do you want to make it? And how how are you going to make it? And and this is the beautiful thing about this um this idea is what we're doing in this exercise is we're dreaming. We're dreaming. Okay? What we're not thinking about the cause and effect. We're not trying to problem solve. We're not thinking about whether it's possible or not. We're just trying to give ourselves some degree of trajectory and some degree of focus. And again, it's kind of like imagine you are a caveman with a spear and for the last 5 years you've had nowhere to throw this spear. And what we're trying to do is just formulate something resembling a target. It's not going to be perfectly circular with a little bullseye in the middle. It's not going to be super clear. This target might come in all these weird little lines and shapes and it might be all sorts of different colors and it doesn't quite fit into everything and it's a horrible design and it's miles away, but at least it's something like it at least like we're just we're just trying to just pull this thing together, you know, and eventually what will happen after doing this a few times and getting some ideas and starting to move towards some of answering some of these questions like what happens after a few years of marching towards it and closer and closer is it will become perfectly rounded. And so me for example, I'm I'm 28 now and and I have a hyper clear vision and hyper clear idea of exactly what I want my life to look like, what I want my wealth to look like, what I want my health to look like, and what I want my relationships to look like. I know exactly what the future holds for me. an exact and obviously it's impossible to predict ideally because I could things can change and like things that are out of my control can manifest and disrupt my trajectories and patterns and things things are weird like that right but I've got this like it's like a [ __ ] it's sat there and it's there's a bullseye in the middle and I know exactly what I need to do to hit it and it's and I can see all the cause and effect and and I'm not expecting you to have that but you got to realize I've been doing this whole idea of answering this existential question of what I want my life to look like every year for the last 10 years. So from the beginning and this is something every time every year you should be doing this. And this again comes back to the the the thing about time is you want to like like instead of trying to create this trajectory or this goal that is like 50 years into the future just think a year out from now and make it small. Like one of the biggest mistakes that people make when they set goals is they they they get a bit too grandiose and they start writing and it's fine to do this at the beginning but you have to you have to converge. So I'll come to that in a second. So who, what, where, when, why, how for wealth, who, what, where, when, why, how for health and who, what, where, when, why, how for relationships. And once you've answered all six of these questions for all three of these endeavors with as much detail as you, and I'm not talking, by the way, about just a little like couple of lines and using [ __ ] chat, GPT, and Claude to help you. No, I'm talking about sitting with these questions and really trying to answer them as if it was like some English essay in school where like you know you've got [ __ ] four hours to complete this exam and like you know you know you've got to fill that time and you're marked on like the context and stuff like that. Like treat it like a proper essay. And and this is the thing is like fundamentally this is probably going to be the most important thing that you ever do in your adult life because everything that you do after you've done this is downstream of what you've done. Cuz like what we're going to do once we've got this clear vision and picture of what our life should look like is we are going to go and do it and we're going to start taking actions and start trying to manipulate the resources at our at our disposal. and we're going to try and create cause to effect and we're going to bend reality to try and bring this this foggy, distant, chaotic, targeted screenshot and we're going to try and bring it into reality. And that's all you're trying to do as a man is you're trying to control the world. You're trying to, you know, take a corner of reality and just [ __ ] bend it to your will. And there's a lot of serotonin in that. And serotonin, if high enough, is the fundamental chemical reaction that inhibits anxiety. Now, I'm not a neurochemist and I'm not a neuro neuroscientist. I'm not a psychologist of any stretch, but I can tell you something. There is nothing quite like getting a good old bit of reality and bending it to your will in the exact shape you want it to. There's a lot there's a lot of happiness and fulfillment in that. And there's a lot of like that if there's one way as a man I can't again I can't speak for women because I'm not one, thank God, but there's there's a lot of something in that. There's a lot of meaning fulfillment. And that's that's what we're trying to do is is create meaning. You know, you might be asking yourself the question like, well, what's the meaning of life and how do I, you know, why am I here and what's the point of all this? Well, the point, mate, is you exist in reality. You can think of something, grab reality by your bare hands, bend it, hold it there until it's solidified, let go, and now you've changed the fundamental fabric of the universe. That is [ __ ] sick. All right, that's the point. It's great. It's fun. You can just [ __ ] do anything you want. And when you do that enough and you you continue you wake up every day and you're doing your [ __ ] iikido in your bedroom trying to figure it all out, you you'll build a life that that you're in control of and that fundamentally suits you that you've built and there's meaning and fulfillment and joy and happiness and all those negative emotions dissipate. And it all centers around those three things. Wealth, health, and relationships. What like you know the who, what, where, when hire. Who do you want to make it with? What you do with it? Why, when, where? And you know, it it's like if you have a clear vision of what you want your wealth situation to look like, your health, and your relationships, now it's pretty simple because a lot of your problem isn't knowing what to do. It's knowing why you're doing it. And it's really difficult to justify doing anything. And it's really difficult to, you know, um re reconcile with your brain of taking an action if you don't know why you're doing it. Like human beings, especially us men, we are incredibly incredibly focused on the why. Because you got to realize that like doing an action, taking an action, making forcing your body to engage in a behavior requires calories. All right? And your brain and your body do not like to spend calories. We don't, you know, because the reason behind this, evolutionarily speaking, every calorie you have is should be spent on finding more calories. That's kind of the whole way we evolved. Like from a hunting perspective, like if you look at any animal, I was I was walking yesterday in the countryside in the UK. Beautiful place called Somerset in the UK. It's where I'm from. And I was on this big long hike um for like 20 k 20 km, this little like hiking trail, this run I was going on. And I saw these two buzzards there. It's these massive birds of prey. Beautiful huge wings man in the sky. Beautiful as sunny. And I was like, and the these buzzards, these these big birds, they wake up in the morning and then they start flying around and their entire day is spent hunting. And if you think about most other animals, like what do they do during their life? Well, they either hunt or they rest. and and there's no and then like there might they might be they might do some of the weird [ __ ] like trying to attract a mate or something but for the most part like every organism on the planet really has two objectives um survive and reproduce and survival is dependent upon you know access to resources i.e food and shelter. And so all animals are engineered to find shelter and hunt and eat and reproduce. And we are animals. Now we might have this thing called consciousness which makes us think that we are elevated above the animal domain. But not really on on a biological level like your brain and body are still engineered towards doing two things which is surviving and reproducing. And so what that means is any calorie that you spend any time you take an action or do something you're burning energy. And you better have a good goddamn reason to do so because if you don't then it's really difficult to justify that behavior. And so anytime you felt like severe resistance towards doing something a lot of the reason to towards experiencing that resistance and there's a lot of reasons for experiencing it but a lot of reasons is because your your brain doesn't associate it with what you want. And you can see how this becomes a problem because if you don't have a clear vision or a clear idea of what you want then in your mind you're like well what's the [ __ ] point? Like let's say let's say you're going to the gym and let's say that you have you have no goal for your body weight, for your aesthetics, for your athleticism, for your health, but you go to the gym and you do you do 25 minutes on the elliptical because it's all the it's the only goddamn thing you know how to use and you don't want to embarrass yourself. Even though any grown man using the elliptical is objectively slightly embarrassing, but I'm not going to judge anyone. I'm [ __ ] I don't I'm [ __ ] around. Whoever people can work out however they want. I don't care. But you get my point. It's like that gym session just feels long and it's a slog because you don't know why you're there. It's like what what are you going for here? Are you go are you going for like, you know, the the muscles? Are you going for like super low body fat? Are you are you training for a marathon? Are you just are you trying to look better so that you can attract a a girlfriend for once in your life? Like are you trying to optimize your V2 max? Like what are you why are you here? And if you don't have a why, like it's the nature quote. He who has a why can bear almost anyh how. And it's like if you don't have a why then what's the [ __ ] point? So this is the whole thing is like a lot of men get stuck thinking about their why. Like why do I why should I do this? What's the point? If you if you don't have a appropriate or proper model like I've given you here to try and figure that out, you will default to nihilism or you won't and you'll just you'll just stop asking the question and you'll just your your life will just you you'll become a zombie. And and the way that you see a lot of people live their lives is there's two types of men in this world. You've got zombies and you've got I don't know what let's let's let's call them pirates, right? Zombies and pirates. Um, zombies are men who never really become conscious. And this isn't you because you're watching this video and you know you're trying to become aware of this stuff, but you know what I mean, right? Like the massive people who just they they never really question their reality. They never really question authority. They never really plan or strategize or create or innovate or think. They just they just do. They just execute. and and they will they have the ability to think and make these decisions but they never question themselves at a higher level. They never complete what we call metacognition in psychology. Metacognition is thinking about thinking right and in this case we're doing sort of meta shadow cognition where you're trying to make the unconscious conscious a beautiful quote from Carl Jung again Carl Jung until you make the unconscious conscious it will rule your life and you will call it fate. And so the zombies, the men that are zombies, they live in what they think is fate, where life just happens to them. They end up in a job that they they'd never really asked for. They end up in a relationship they never really thought about. Their body and their health is out of their control. And and they've got and and there's and these three pillars of health, wealth, and relationships, wealth, health, and relationships have never been critically analyzed. And they've got a certain wealth situation. they've got a certain health situation, a certain relationship situation, but it just happened. There was there was no intent behind these three things. Whereas the pirate and I don't know why the idea of the pirate there's an archetype there, right? The pirate has has an intent with everything that he does. And and really it's looking for the gold. Like if you think about it, pirate might not have been the best analogy, but you you get my point, right? Pirates are sailing the seas. It's [ __ ] chaos and it's dangerous and but they're willing to do it anyway because the reward is so large. Um, again, weird archetype, but you get the point, right? Um, don't be a zombie. Just be a little different. Think about what you want. Think about what it looks like. You know, visualize it. And then once you've got this idea, try and condense it into a time frame that feels manageable and condense it into a goal that feels manageable. A goal is a statement of um, a statement of intent really. Um, and you need to be as specific as you can with your goal. So, this is back to the exercise. Who, what, where, when, how, why of wealth, health, and relationships. Start with what you don't want. Then invert it into what you do. Then what will happen when you do this is you're going to be faced with a version of you or a version of your life that is pretty different to what it is now. Then what you want to do is take that version and extrapolate it into a series of goals. And your goals will be for wealth, health, and relationships. And the easiest way to make your life as bearable and to tolerate this existence is to have one goal for each of these three things. No more. Like if you have one goal for wealth, one goal for health and one goal for relationships, you will be able to orient yourself. The mistake is when you try and chase four different businesses and three different streams of income. You try and do six different things with your health and your body and and you try and do all these weird things with your relationships. Like have one objective with your wealth, one with your health, and one with your relationships. So like I can give you some examples for mine. Um my single objective with my wealth is to become a billionaire. And so inside of that goal, the overall objective of becoming a billionaire are little micro goals that have to happen like I have to build a software company and get to a multi-figure valuation first, right? for example. But then for my health, um, as of right now, my objective is to be about 83 to 84 kilos, 9% body fat. As of right now, I'm around 78 kilos, 9% body fat. So, I need to gain 4 to 5 kg of lean muscle tissue in the next year to achieve my health goal. Once I've done that, then I want to either try for an iron man or do something else. So, you you get my point. It only needs to be a year out. You know, you don't need to, you know, try and think like too far down the line here. With the wealth thing, it helps you think quite far out. But for the health thing, just just simple goal 82 lean like and and and yours might be different. Yours doesn't have to be a bodybuilding. I I like being, you know, shredded. I like having a [ __ ] like Vape. I just It's a narcissism thing, right? Probably a trauma response to being bullied as a kid or something, but like [ __ ] it. I like the broad shoulder set and the, you know, it's great. I enjoy it. But yours might be to have a professional amateur boxing match and win. It could be to get a black belt in karate. It could be to climb a specific mountain and do some sort of mountaineering. It could be to, you know, do a triathlon or it could just be to do 10 pull-ups, right? It doesn't really matter as long as it means something to you. This is again what I mean. Don't just copy other people's goals. really think about what you want and make it specific to you because if it means something to you then you're more likely to do it. Whereas if you're copying someone else's meaning, there's no meaning at all. And then for relationships, like what do you want? Do you want to get married and have kids? Do you want to have a girlfriend? Do you want to be single and have fun? Do you want to have a small social group? Do you want to have a large social group? Like think about these things, you know? And I'm not going to share that one with you. It's a little bit more personal for me. like, you know, do you want to just be the solo lone wolf for a bit and not talk to anyone and just go sort of monk mode? Hey, if that's the case, that's fine. I wouldn't recommend it for a long time because those those people can, you know, become quite miserable quite quickly because you know, humans allow us to mirror issues and solve problems. But you know what what sort like the relationship thing is quite simple because you have to think about what you want to be in terms of what you are to people that you love. So I am for example a brother, I am a son, I am a grandson and I am a friend. And so I am a grandson to my grandparents um my grandmothers and my grandfathers. I am a son to my parents. I am a brother to my sister and my brother and I am a friend to you know all of my friends in in my life. I am a business partner and I am a influencer. I am a businessman who has a social media presence online which means people would consider me a mentor. Um I am a boss right in terms of I manage about 60 or 70 people. Um and so like you know you you have these you you have these ver like these these these statements that sort of underpin your relationships with people. And so you have to ask yourself what sort of son do I want to be? What sort of brother do I want to be? What sort of business partner do I want to be? you know, and all of like what sort of mentor do I want to be? What sort of, you know, um, influencer do I want to be? And and you need to have answers to these questions because if you don't, you're you you don't have any idea what you're becoming or how you need to behave. And if you don't have any idea who you're becoming or how you need to behave, I don't know about you, but that's a pretty terrifying aspect that just takes us back to where you are right now. So, it it's really not that that tricky, guys, to sort of figure out who you are and, you know, what you're trying to become. It's really not that difficult. It just takes a solid weekend of thinking and constant reflection to put together some vague target that you can then hit. Just to round off the video, and I'm recording this in post-production because I forgot. Um, like I said earlier, like part of the problem here of figuring out what you want to do with your life is money and finance. And if you had a good income and a good way to make money that made you feel fulfilled and happy, you probably wouldn't be so anxious and miserable. Um, so I've made my course on how to do that free.
