Belege
  • Ausreißer-Faktor 0,05x, deutlich unter Median von 12.723,5 Views
  • Post erst 0,0 Tage alt, sehr geringe Views absolut (671)
Hook

„You always talk about learning before earning, building skills and connections before focusing on money. How do I know when I've learned enough and it's time to actually start earning?“

Titel-/Hook-Muster

Stop [falsches Konzept], Wait for [richtiges Konzept]

Notiz

Beschreibung

The biggest misconception I had when starting a business was that I would somehow “know enough” to be ready. You never will. You have to learn how to operate off incomplete information - with conviction. Start. Then adjust as you learn more. That’s it.

You always talk about learning before earning, building skills and connections before focusing on money. How do I know when I've learned enough and [music] it's time to actually start earning? So, this is another question of delaying gratification. Um, at what point do I have a sufficient amount to start? Now, there's some people who started their first business and they're like, I learned, you know, on starting my per my my business. Okay, here we go. I have a better answer for you. It's not about when, it's about the conditions. Okay? And so instead of thinking I think that I'm going to spend 3 years doing X Y and Z to learn uh and then at this point in 3 years I'm going to begin earning, it's more what conditions would have to happen in my external or internal environment uh that would create the maximum likelihood of success of whatever my next endeavor I plan on uh pursuing is. [music] And so if I wanted to pursue a smaller endeavor, the likelihood that I would be able to acquire those skills faster goes up. And the next question is to what degree are the skills that I'm learning going to transfer over to the opportunity that I'm trying to pursue. [music] Meaning if I want to uh get into a small social media marketing agency that does lead genen for plumbers, if I work at a small social media marketing agency that does lead genen for plumbers, the likely that I'll be able to transfer the skills that I learned in that thing to whatever I want to do next super high. If I want to then start a SAS platform uh from there that doesn't serve agencies and doesn't serve plumbers uh and doesn't serve me as the customer, the likelihood that you cross over those skills is lower. And so I think the idea is that um I can't remember what what VC firm does this, but I really wholeheartedly believe in it, which is that they only invest in founders that are the customer because I think there's something incredibly wise about trying to solve your own problems. And so TLDDR, we want to make a list of what skills you think are going to be required to pursue the opportunity. And we want to pursue those in an existing opportunity on someone else's pay where you get paid to
