Most onboarding feels like getting punished for buying. Congrats, you're in. Now here's 47 things to do. The first client experience shouldn't be admin. It should be momentum. Money in their pocket. Time back in their week. Proof they made the right decision. Give them a win instead. Comment ONRAMP and I'll send you the invite.

On their very first day in Black Belt, we give every new client 10 grand and an extra day a week to blow it. Here's the problem every one of your new clients faces. They've just coughed up some money to work with you, and then the very first thing you do is give 'em a bunch of jobs, and they don't got no time. They're already busy and overwhelmed before they got started, so we should fix that. One of the secrets to getting clients to stay with you for a long time is to make the first time a little bit magic. So on the kickoff call, the very first call we have with every new client in Black Belt, I've got two goals: I wanna put money in their pocket and free up some time. I want them to get an ROI on the year on day one. So as part of our onboarding process, we perform two magic tricks. The first one takes about five, maybe 10 minutes, gets them some leads which they turn into clients and make them some money. It's kinda fun. No one's ever complained, but to be honest, it's just some quick document. The real work together is gonna take a bit of time, and they don't have any. So the second magic trick we play on kickoff is called the extra workday advantage. They can take it as a full workday, they could do two half days, or even like a couple of hours each day over the course of the week. Either way, we've freed up an extra day a week to work on their business and make even more money. Like me, you've probably got a big fat checklist of all the things you wanna get through in the onboarding process. I get it. A well-designed on-ramp gets clients winning faster and staying longer. Takes a bit of work to figure it out, but once you've got it, you can run it for years. So you can either figure one out yourself or steal mine. I'm walking a group of coaches through our five-step on-ramp process, so if you wanna see how it's done, comment the word on-ramp below, and I'll send you an invite.
