Good Writing Is That Someone Understands. Good Copy Is That People Feel Understood.

Belege
  • Ausreißer-Faktor 1.13x, also nahe am Kanal-Median
Hook

„I'm a developer and I built a successful skin care product. Our brand and message is well received, great. But I feel like I can't sell it if my life depended on it.“

Titel-/Hook-Muster

Notiz

Beschreibung

In my experience, people buy because of how crisply you articulate their problems to them, not, the benefits of your solution. The goal is for them to feel understood more than to understand your products/services.

I'm a developer and I built a successful skin care product. Our brand and message is well received, great. But, I feel like I can't sell it if my life depended on it. Talking to people, let alone selling, turns out to be extremely hard for me. [music] I'm desperately looking for advice on transitioning from development to traditional sales. I love what we built, but my lack of sales acumen is slowly killing the brand. [music] Cuz I think >> People can say that they like your brand and messaging, that doesn't mean they're going to buy from you. I think those things are completely separate. >> Yeah. >> Um [snorts] I had a girl who she had built a skin care company based on you know holistic something from others. [music] And um basically nobody was buying and I was like, "Well, then they can say whatever they want. Maybe they're just saying that to make you feel good because [music] the fact that they're not going to buy from you." >> Super real. >> Which is true. People feel bad so they're like, "I love [music] the mission, just like not going to buy." No. Um also like how do you know people like the brand if they don't buy? >> People vote with their dollars. The ingredients don't matter, those are features, those are jargon, those are scientific BS. What matters to the customers what they can understand cuz everyone If everyone understood all the things that you said, then that product would not be unique. Right? Like you [music] just have to be able to articulate the problems that they are experiencing in their own words enough that they're like they feel understood. [music] And so the difference between good writing is that someone understands. Good copy is that people feel understood.
