Everyone's optimizing. Almost nobody is happier. Track the sleep. Count your macros. Score your workouts. Measure focus hours. Grade the morning routine. I love self-improvement. I just think it's mostly performance art. The people doing the most tracking and sharing? They are often the most miserable. The folks getting better at lightning speed? Mostly doing it in silence. The calmest people I know don't even track their sleep. They exercise, eat well, do good work, and hang out with people they love. They're not really measuring. They're mostly just living.
